In 2010, I retired after a 30-year career in law enforcement in Southern California. As you might guess, I drank a lot of coffee…a lot of bad coffee. Even a freshly brewed batch (insert cop/donut shop joke somewhere here) was just an average cup of joe, mostly because the beans were not truly fresh roasted.

In 2015 after some prompting from my sons, I started roasting coffee at home. I practiced and practiced on my small home roaster, testing and tasting it myself and giving coffee to friends and family so I could get their feedback and recommendations to fine tune the process.

Now I live in North Carolina with a much better roaster, lots of experience, and a dedication to the art of roasting fresh whole coffee beans just for you. I roast to order, so nothing sits on a shelf somewhere losing freshness and flavor.
